The Summer off-season often sees Simon and Michelle exploring National Parks in other parts of Australia. In January, Michelle took Simon to explore Budj Bim National Park. During the day, they explored the cultural significance of the large earthworks associated with indigenous eel farming.
After dark, Michelle and Simon broke out the spotlighting gear and set off in search of Yellow-Bellied Gliders, which they found (after a lot of hard work). On the way out of the Park, they found this chap contentedly perched right next to the road.
